What is C.S.T.L.?
C.S.T.L. is a Computer Science Toolkit written in Lisp. We, three students at The California University of Pennsylvania, are writing C.S.T.L. for our senior project. We hope that hope our project will serve both as a learning aid to computer science students and hobbyist alike.
What does it do?
C.S.T.L. will contain an interactive mode, helping students to internalize the following topics:
- Set operations including
- Definition of sets
- Union
- Intersection
- Difference
- Cartesian Product
- Membership
- Complement
- Matrix Operations
- Definition of Matrices
- Addition
- Multiplication (scalar and vectar)
- Determinant and Eigenvalues of square matrices
- Deterministic and Non-deterministic Finite-state macines (FSMs)
- Construction of FSMs
- Display of state table corresponding to a given FSM
- Acceptance or rejection of a given input string by an FSM
- Boolean Algebra and Boolean minimization
- Interactive base conversion calculator
Where can I get it?
Right now C.S.T.L. still lives mostly in the minds of the developers. However, this web page will eventually provide an access resource for our program's source code and documentation as prototypes become available. Our aim is to have this site also provide remote access to C.S.T.L. as well, in case local installation is impossible.
